Sewer Line Replacement

Backups that return soon after cleaning, a crushed or sagging run, or roots at many fittings can mean a Meridian, ID sewer line needs replacing rather than a patch. Camera footage should show how much of the line is affected.

Ways to replace the line
A plumber may trench and lay new pipe, burst the old line while pulling new pipe through, or replace only the failed stretch.

Before the digging starts
Meridian owners maintain the private sewer line; the city maintains the part in the public right of way. Replacement needs an Excavation (R-EXC) permit from the city, and 811 (Digline) should be called before digging.
